Re: Where has the time gone....

Let's see..... Married, two kids, work my ass off, and more headaches than I can count. All that said, I still game (mainly xbox because I can't justify the constant 6 month upgrade or my rig, like I was doing), and when I do game, its always some simple game like Overwatch or Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2. Kids still can't beat me, but my oldest is gaining. They still get cocky and try finding some new FPS that they play a lot, and then try and drag me into the game to beat me... nope.

Still live in the same ol' city, but that's because my mom has MS, and for the last 3 years has lived with me and my family. So that's been interesting.

About 9 years ago I got serious about getting in shape. For reference, when we were gaming all the time I was anywhere between 120-140 lbs. When I started working out I was up to 230+. I say "+" because I stopped getting on the scale, it was just pissing me off. I started doing Jiu Jitsu and dropped down to 139.5 lbs (calibrated scale at a competition). After I hit that mark I started weight lifting to put on some muscle. Currently I am 175 at 8% body fat, so that's something I am proud of. Wife... not so much. I am 43, going to be 44 next week, and I can turn college girls heads.

Kids are into drums, horses, games. The usual. Married the girlfriend that I had when we were gaming, and she is a teacher now. She teaches robotics and engineering, which people think that means we can communicate with our nerdyness, but that's not even close to being true. She knows actuators and gears, I know frames and kernels.

Anyways, as I have always said, as long as I am in this business, this site will live on, for nothing else, as a reminder of what use to be fun for everyone. Love catching up with everyone, and if anyone ever wants to hit me up, and you're in Texas, give me a shout. I am down to go hang out and kick back a few drinks over good company.
