Kal Tec 12 gage

omg, have yall looked at this. It is a 12 gage bullpup shotgun. its completely legal and holds 13 rounds. Here is a short vid. I am trying to find a better vid that my friend showed me. This thing is going to be bad ass and I will own one that will have a place next to my bed.

Re: Kal Tec 12 gage

While neat, I really don't get the whole suppressed shotgun thing outside of a movie plot.

Re: Kal Tec 12 gage

for home protection I would take the bull pup and its 13 12 gage rounds. I also could screw a suppressor onto my ridiculously short kal tec. This gun is going to be set up to be modified out the ass.

Re: Kal Tec 12 gage

The only reason I can see to suppress a shotgun is to be able to target practice without hearing protection. That said, I personally wouldnt do it.

I would however take a saiga 12 over the keltec at this point, granted Ive not fingerfucked a keltec yet, but a couple people I know who have say its flimsy feeling.

Just my .02

Re: Kal Tec 12 gage

I agree that there really is no reason to suppress a shotgun, and to be honest there is really no reason to choke it down, but it's nice to have the options. I know they just fixed some of the problems. Here is another video. Have your friends messed with the newer model or the original prototype? I trust your judgment on such matters, but I am drooling over this thing. It looks like a wonderful gun to keep between the bed and the nightstand. The following vid is on some of the changes they made.

Re: Kal Tec 12 gage

I would use the saiga or something similar as a primary for room clearing against targets that there was a high probability of them not having armor, and there being no non combatants present. It would be absolutely stellar at that.

But I wouldnt want to use a shotgun at all, and definitly not one with a barrel thats between 4 and 8 inches long, at any sort of a distance.

Its a niche weapon, or a toy. one good thing to say about a bullpup, any bullpup, is that it increases wieldiness, without decreasing barrel length. Which means you gain something good, without loosing effectiveness or accuracy at distance.

All that aside, I ordered one of the Saiga's because god damnit they are a fucking blast!
