Thumbs down Borat

Will someone please explain to me what the hell the big deal was supposed to be about this?

I'm sorry, but this was just worthless. A complete waste of time. One of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Re: Borat

It just arrived in the mail from Netflix... some of his stuff is pretty funny... other times he seems to be reaching.

Re: Borat

This is definitely a love it or hate it kind of movie..

I guess it just depends on your sense of humor.

Its probably another "younger generation" thing.. Its going along the lines of Jackass, Tom Green, etc.

I know I thought it was hilarious, and just about all my friends feel the same way.

Yeah, I can see that.

I liked Jackass, loved Napoleon Dynamite, but can't stand Tom Green.

I guess it just depends on your definition of humor. I felt Borat was just offensive.

Re: Borat

true true

I've been a big fan of the Borat character since Da Ali G show

I still think his skits in the show are funnier than the movie, but the movie still has its moments.

Re: Borat

I finally watched it.
I laughed frequently, but the humor was of the painful type, which is not my favorite.
It was worth the rental, but not the huge acclaim heaped on it IMO.
Also, I need to watch 24hrs of girl/girl pr0n now to get rid of the hotel room scrum scene.
