This was a new author who is semi-regional...from Canada. So for us in MN, it's close to home. This is the fictional/historical story of two Cree scouts who become legendary snipers on the battlefields of WWI. A pretty good read, although it's a little depressing at times, but it really paints the realities of WWI, which was depressing. An okay book. This was the last one I read. I usually don't read fiction unless it's got a historical/military flavor to it. So this was good, sad at times, but good. It's got a strong native american theme to it, so if that's not your bag, you probably won't like it. But it helps you understand their culture a little more in the process. I thought it was captivating and it kept me reading it a little each day.
