So far this book is really good, it's a double biography of the two. It got a good review from this months World War II magazine so I figured I'd pick it up. It starts with a little on Patton, then jumps into Rommel in WWI, and how much he kicked ass...especially out of the Italians. That's where I'm at because I haven't gotten very far...just one sitting at the car dealership while I was getting new brakes, and then a few other brief reads before bed. But the writing is good, the author is academic, but with a good sense of humor to help bring these notoriously overindulged WW2 personalities.

Is this a new book? If it's not that new I think the library might have it

Finished it a few days ago...took me a while to get back to it to finish it off. IT was okay, I wouldn't recommend this book. It's rife with typos and doesn't really make any new/original claims. It does however paint a good picture about the two men's WWI and WWII exploits.

I still think Rommel is the man.
