car problems

well just recently my 1994 jeep grand cherokee starting making some minor grinding/squeeking noises.. so i greased up everything and topped off the gear oil and it fixed all that

i was towing my boat with it last week and something started to pop..

basically it drives fine but every so often theres a loud pop noise and the car jerks. it feels like the wheels lock up for a second when it does it.

anyone have any idea whats goin on? everything looks good.. nothing obviously wrong.. only thing i can think of is something in the front differential .. something to do with the full time 4wd.. ?

i dunno

Re: car problems

I'd take it to a pro asap if you can't find anything visibly wrong there

Re: car problems

ya, need a pro but it sounds like the diff. Jeeps (and a lot of older Dodges) are known for diff and tranny probs from what I've heard, especially the Caravans.
