there is a new E-bay scam... it may have been done b4 but this time it's pretty wide spred.. works like the tipical paypal scam.. You get an E-mail from what looks like E-bay asking you to log into your account for any given reason (tipically a problem with your account)... But when you log in via the web page in question, you just gave the scammers your user name and password to E-bay allowing them full access to your account ...

I kinda figured most people were smart enough not to fall for it... but Had a guy from work ask me about it today.. and looks like he fell for it and logged in... The page looks like a legit E-bay page everything is 100% correct except the url is an IP and not a https:// with E-bays url... so I'm sure it will fool a lot of people

so I figured I'd pass it on so no one falls for it.

i think it happend to my dad...

all of a sudden he got an email talkin about all these fee's he has to pay because he tried to sell a harley davidson or somthing, but he doesn't sell that kinda stuff.

so he had to make a new pw..etc etc..

he's a dumbass so i can believe he'd give out his username/pw...and considering his username/pw are the same...sigh...dumbass.
