i wonderin do any of you have exprience with starting a group in college? is it hard? easy? a pian in the ass. could sometime enlighten me if youve done soo. ty

One of my roomates just started a group. A lot depends on what university you go to and whether there is a large amount of interested students that will join your group. I can also see getting funding being a problem in the first years because they will want you to prove that you deserve it before giving it to you.

I'm trying to start a group service immersion trip and I've seen a lot of resistance because people believe it's unproven and potentially dangerous.

Don't start a group, it will severely inhibit the college experience of being lazy and drinking all the time.

well drinkin and partyin is not really my thing. i kno i kno im crazy. i am your classic hardcore gammer/marching band geek . i will be attending USF(south florida). i was inspired by UCF to make a gaming club. to host lANs and just unite the usf gamers. i plan to team up with JackelPDW and the founder of UCFs gaming club and a few other friends.

I like gaming too, and probably do it more than I should. I still try and find the time to go out and meet new people because that's what college is really all about.

Ya im totally lookin forward to meeting college/new people , having good conversations and leaving the high school drama behind.and im really excited to take claasses i wanna take and "living on my own" but yet still protected staged. but hopefully threw this club (if i can get it rollin) and marching band and class i'll be meetin plenty of peeps and have great exprinces

You'll be meeting plenty of Everquest LvL 9 Warlocks that haven't seen the sun in 3 years. There are so many of those Turbo Nerds on my floor, I just feel sorry for them.

Here at FSU, we have the 'cybercafe' which has a bunch of computers in it. You might look to see if USF has something like that. If you ever get up and running let me know, I'll see if I can come down for a LAN party sometime (I'm in Tallahassee).
